Learn more about Custom Night Guards
Interrupted breathing at night can affect how you feel all day. We use custom oral appliances to support open-airway breathing, reduce snoring, and provide a comfortable alternative to CPAP.

Sleep apnoea is a sleep disorder that affects how you breathe at night and how you feel during the day. In obstructive sleep apnoea, relaxed throat muscles narrow the airway during sleep, making it harder to breathe and disrupting the deep, restorative rest your body needs to feel refreshed.
Sleep study results help guide what treatment, if any, is appropriate — and even mild results may be worth discussing with your dentist if you're experiencing related symptoms.
Your oral structure plays an important role in sleep apnoea therapy. Crowded teeth, a narrow palate, or teeth grinding (bruxism) can affect airflow while you sleep. At Nest Dental, our dentists look for these early warning signs during routine visits and can help you understand how your oral health may relate to your airway.
Once diagnosed with sleep apnoea, many patients undergo treatment with a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine, which delivers air pressure through a mask to keep the airway open. We offer an alternative with oral appliance therapy. These custom appliances help keep your airway open, reduce snoring, and promote comfortable, restorative sleep without a machine.
You might have sleep apnoea if you experience:
Oral appliance therapy is a simple, dentist-led treatment for snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. It involves wearing a custom-made device during sleep that gently supports the lower jaw forward, helping to keep the airway open and reduce breathing interruptions throughout the night.
For many people, the challenge isn't just sleep apnoea itself. It's finding a treatment they can actually stick with. While CPAP remains the gold standard, it's not always well tolerated. Oral appliances offer a practical alternative for patients with mild to moderate sleep apnoea, or those who have struggled with CPAP and want something more manageable.
At Nest Dental, treatment starts with understanding your sleep properly. That may involve a home-based sleep assessment and a clear diagnosis before any appliance is recommended. From there, your device is digitally designed and precisely fitted to your mouth, with the aim of comfort and effectiveness over time.
We don't treat this as a standalone product. Oral appliance therapy sits within a broader, dentist-guided sleep plan that may also address jaw position, grinding, airway health, and long-term comfort. The goal is simple. Better breathing, more consistent sleep, and a treatment you can actually live with.

Pick up your sleep study kit from Nest Dental and carry out the sleep study in the comfort of your own home over 1–2 nights. The kit monitors your breathing, blood oxygen levels, and heart rate while you sleep.
After your sleep study, simply drop off the kit to Nest Dental. A certified sleep physician will interpret your results and provide tailored treatment recommendations. We'll notify you when your results are ready.
You'll return to Nest Dental for a thorough sleep evaluation with your treating dentist. Together, you'll review your sleep study results, discuss treatment options including oral appliance therapy, and determine the best path forward — including health insurance coverage, budget, and whether a CPAP-free approach is right for you.
Your dentist will take digital scans to create a fully customised oral sleep apnoea appliance designed for comfort, fit, and effectiveness. Once ready, you'll come in for a fitting, with ongoing follow-ups to fine-tune your appliance. As treatment progresses, many patients report quieter nights, reduced snoring, and more restful sleep.
