Your nearby dentist, a short drive from Lane Cove
Nest Dental is at Suite 99, 545 Pacific Highway, St Leonards, approximately 3 km from Lane Cove village. That is around a 7 to 8 minute drive via Longueville Road and the Pacific Highway, and buses run along the highway if you would rather not park.
A full service practice within reach of Lane Cove
Lane Cove is one of the few lower north shore suburbs that genuinely functions as its own town. There is a proper village centre around Lane Cove Plaza and Longueville Road, a library and market days, and bushland at the edge of it in Lane Cove National Park. Most errands never need to leave the postcode.
That is exactly why this page has to earn the trip. Lane Cove residents who come to us are usually after something a small local practice sends elsewhere: implant surgery and the crown that follows, a cosmetic plan that has to look right in photographs, or a household of four people who would rather not be split across two practices.
The drive is short. Longueville Road out of the village, left onto the Pacific Highway, and you are at 545 Pacific Highway in roughly 7 to 8 minutes outside peak. For a treatment plan you may return to for months, that is a small trade for keeping everything in one place with one team.

Dr Sandra Pedram sees many of the Lane Cove families who come to us for implants and larger restorative plans. Our dentists have each been practising for more than 25 years, and you keep the same dentist across a plan rather than repeating your history to someone new each visit.
Why Lane Cove patients choose Nest Dental
A reason to leave the village
Lane Cove is big enough to have its own centre, so nobody drives out of it without a reason. Ours is range: implants, crowns, clear aligners, whitening, kids dentistry and routine cleans all handled by the same team at one address, rather than being referred on for the parts a smaller practice does not cover. For a Lane Cove household juggling several people's treatment, that is one set of appointments instead of three.
Hours that work around Lane Cove life
Between school pick-ups near Lane Cove Plaza, weekend sport and commuting into the city, weekday mornings are the first thing to disappear. We run evening and Saturday appointments, and we keep time aside each day for same-day emergencies, so a tooth that cracks on a Sunday walk through Lane Cove National Park does not have to wait out the week.
Judgement-free and prevention-first
Plenty of our Lane Cove patients arrive after a long gap, often because a family practice closed or the kids' appointments came first for a few years. We do not remark on the gap. We look at what is in front of us, prioritise preventing the next problem, and stage anything larger so the household budget is not hit all at once.
Experienced dentists and on the spot claiming
Our dentists have each been practising for more than 25 years, which is part of why complex treatment does not have to leave the practice. Health fund rebates are claimed at the front desk through HICAPS, and we hold preferred provider status with NIB, CBHS, TUH, Union Health and smile.com.au, which may lower what a Lane Cove family pays on the day for routine care.
Implants and cosmetic care without leaving one practice
The most common reason a Lane Cove patient books with us is a tooth that cannot be saved, or one that was taken out years ago and never replaced. Implant treatment involves an assessment, imaging, the placement itself and then the crown on top, and being sent between practices for each stage is where people usually give up. We keep all of it at St Leonards, roughly 3 km from the village, so the follow-up visits are a familiar short drive rather than a new trip each time.
Cosmetic work follows the same logic. Whitening, veneers and clear aligners are often combined in one plan, and we will show you what is realistic for your teeth before anything starts, including the parts we would advise against. Lane Cove patients frequently arrive with a date in mind, a wedding or a milestone birthday, so we work backwards from it and tell you honestly if the timeline is too tight.
Costs for any staged plan are written down before treatment begins, so a Lane Cove household can decide what happens now, what waits for the next health fund year, and what is genuinely optional.

Getting here from Lane Cove
Driving from the village
From Lane Cove Plaza it is approximately 3 km, around 7 to 8 minutes outside peak. Head east along Longueville Road, then join the Pacific Highway towards St Leonards and Royal North Shore Hospital. We are on the ground floor at Suite 99, 545 Pacific Highway.

Where to park
Parking near the highway is easier than most Lane Cove patients expect. There is metered street parking on the side streets running off the Pacific Highway, and the parking stations in the Forum precinct are a few minutes walk from our door if you are staying for a longer appointment.
By bus
Buses run from Lane Cove along the Pacific Highway corridor, and the stops around Royal North Shore Hospital leave a short walk to 545 Pacific Highway. It is a sensible option if you are having treatment where you would rather not drive home afterwards.
