Your local dentist in St Leonards
Nest Dental is at Suite 99, 545 Pacific Highway, St Leonards, about a three minute walk from St Leonards Station and a short walk from the Crows Nest Metro entrance. If you live in the towers, work at Royal North Shore Hospital, or pass through the Forum every day, we are already on your route.
A practice that lives in St Leonards
St Leonards is not a suburb we drive to. Our chairs sit on the Pacific Highway between the station and the hospital, in the same block of the precinct our patients walk through on the way to the Forum for lunch. That changes the kind of appointments people book: short, practical visits slotted into a working day, rather than a half day set aside for a trip somewhere else.
The suburb has changed quickly. The apartment towers along the Pacific Highway corridor have brought thousands of new residents who arrived without a dentist here, the Crows Nest Metro opened a second walk-up entrance for the area, and the health and research offices around Royal North Shore Hospital keep the footpaths busy well past six. Our hours were set to match that pattern, not the other way around.
We are also a small practice on purpose. Every St Leonards patient sees the same dentist each visit, so nobody has to re-explain their history, their nervousness, or the tooth they have been ignoring since they moved in.

Dr Viki Karassellos leads the practice and treats a large number of St Leonards locals, from hospital staff booking between shifts to residents who have just picked up the keys to an apartment on the highway. Our dentists each have more than 25 years of experience.
Why St Leonards patients choose Nest Dental
Built around the hospital and office roster
Royal North Shore Hospital staff, the research and health tech offices around it, and the commercial floors above the Forum all keep hours that do not suit a nine to five dentist. We run evening and Saturday appointments so a St Leonards shift or a full meeting day does not have to cost you a check-up.
Judgement-free and prevention-first
Plenty of St Leonards patients arrive after years of putting it off because work in the precinct got busy. Nobody at Nest Dental will lecture you about it. We look at where your teeth are today, focus on preventing the next problem, and agree a plan at your pace.
Dentists with 25 plus years each
Our dentists have each been practising for more than 25 years, so complex work does not have to be referred across the bridge. For St Leonards residents that means the check-up, the filling, the implant planning and the aligner reviews all happen at 545 Pacific Highway.
Health funds settled on the spot
We claim through HICAPS at the front desk, so you walk back onto the Pacific Highway with the rebate already applied. We are a preferred provider with NIB, CBHS, TUH, Union Health and smile.com.au, which may reduce what St Leonards patients pay out of pocket on routine care.
Just moved to St Leonards and need a regular dentist?
Moving into one of the new buildings on the Pacific Highway usually means rebuilding a list of local everything: a GP, a gym, a coffee order and eventually a dentist. If your last dentist was in another suburb or another state, you can start here without a referral and without any paperwork on your first visit beyond the health history form.
Ask your previous practice to email your records and recent x-rays to us before you come in and we will review them, so a new St Leonards patient visit is a conversation rather than a fresh start from zero. If you cannot get them, that is fine, we will take what we need on the day.
Most new residents book a check-up and clean first, then plan anything else around their calendar. Because we are inside the suburb, follow-up appointments are a walk from the lift, not a trip across the bridge.
